
This 12-day Uganda Safari begins and ends in Kampala. The cost includes one gorilla permit, priced at $800 per person. During the safari, you'll visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in western Uganda, which is home to more than 340 mountain gorillas, accounting for half of the world's remaining population. We will also focus on minimizing your carbon footprint, choosing accommodations with strong eco-credentials, and ensuring your community engagement provides maximum benefit.
Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and will take you to your hotel in Entebbe, where you'll check in and relax.
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll go to Ngamba Island by boat on Lake Victoria. There, you'll learn about the island and see the chimpanzees being fed. You can take photos and enjoy the scenery. After the tour, you'll return to the hotel.
You'll have breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, then start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you'll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience. After that, you'll have lunch in Masindi before heading to Murchison Falls National Park for a scenic view of the falls. Finally, you'll check in at your lodge.
Early in the morning, you'll go on a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park to see animals like lions, giraffes, and elephants. Afterward, you'll return to the lodge for a break. In the afternoon, you'll take a boat cruise to see more wildlife and the beautiful Murchison Falls.
After breakfast at the lodge, you'll drive to Kibale National Park. Along the way, you'll have lunch in Hoima town. Once you arrive, you'll check in at your lodge.
Early in the morning, you'll have breakfast and then go to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. You'll spend time searching for chimpanzees and other primates in the forest. Later, you'll take a guided nature walk in Bigodi to see more wildlife. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary visit is a direct community-managed project. The money spent on the walk and local guiding fees goes directly to local families and community development projects like building schools and health centers, maximizing local economic benefit.
After breakfast, you'll check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Once there, you'll have lunch and then take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, buffalo, and more. Finally, you'll check in at your lodge.
After breakfast and checking out, you'll go on a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park before continuing your journey to Bwindi National Park.
You'll have an early breakfast and then go to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking. After spending time with the gorillas, you'll have the option to take a cultural tour with the Batwa people. Later, you'll return to your lodge.
After breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Mburo National Park with stops for photos at the equator and lunch in Mbarara. Once you arrive, you'll check in at your lodge and go on a nature walk. This is the most sustainable stopover on the long journey. Visit Mihingo Lodge, which uses 100% solar power and supports local community projects.
After breakfast and a morning walking safari at Lake Mburo National Park, you'll head back to Entebbe and check in at your hotel. A walking safari adds a low-impact activity to your itinerary.
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then visit the botanical gardens before being driven to Entebbe Airport for your flight home, ending your tour.
