Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lodge

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, a warm welcome awaits from a representative of Afrika Panthera Safaris. Look for the individual holding a placard with your names for easy identification. After a brief introduction and exchange of pleasantries, you'll be escorted to your designated lodge for an overnight stay.

During your check-in at the lodge, the Afrika Panthera Safaris representative will take the opportunity to review the detailed itinerary that was previously agreed upon. This discussion will ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of the upcoming activities, destinations, and any specific arrangements planned for your safari adventure.

Feel free to ask any questions, seek clarifications, or discuss any preferences you might have regarding the itinerary or accommodations. Your guide will provide valuable insights, tips, and essential information to ensure your safari experience is both enjoyable and tailored to your expectations.

Day 2: Optional Tour around Entebbe or Kampala City

After a delightful breakfast, you have the choice to embark on an optional tour exploring the vibrant attractions of either Entebbe or Kampala city.

Entebbe offers a variety of fascinating sites to explore. Bird enthusiasts can revel in the rich avian diversity at the Botanical Gardens or the Mabamba Wetland, known for its excellent birdwatching opportunities. Alternatively, wildlife enthusiasts may opt to visit the Entebbe Wildlife Center, also known as the Entebbe Zoo, to observe indigenous animals in a natural setting. Another highlight is the Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where visitors can learn about and interact with rescued chimpanzees.

On the other hand, if you decide to explore Kampala, the bustling capital city of Uganda, several iconic landmarks and cultural sites await your discovery. Day 3: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Top of the Falls in Murchison Falls National Park

Embark on an exciting adventure beginning at 7:00 am as you journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located approximately 166 kilometers north of Kampala, which equates to a 3-hour scenic drive. This sanctuary serves as a refuge for the native Black Rhinoceros and the Northern White Rhinoceros, both indigenous rhinoceros species in Uganda.

The tracking experience commences between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, allowing for flexible exploration, with the entire activity lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

After the thrilling rhino tracking experience, continue your journey to the Top of the Falls in Murchison Falls National Park.

This captivating natural wonder offers a breathtaking display of nature's power as the Victoria Nile River dramatically squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating a stunning cascade known as Murchison Falls. Following this exhilarating day of exploration, retire to your lodge for a well-deserved overnight stay. The journey from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to the Top of the Falls covers approximately 89 kilometers, requiring a 2 to 3-hour scenic drive amidst Uganda's picturesque landscapes.

Day 4: Wildlife Expedition and Boat Cruise at Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day between 6:00 to 7:00 am by immersing yourself in the captivating wildlife of Murchison Falls National Park. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, housing an impressive array of 144 mammal species, 556 bird species, 51 reptile species, and 51 amphibian species. Prepare for an extraordinary game drive in the park's northern sector, offering the chance to encounter a diverse range of wildlife.

The park's various tracks each provide a unique opportunity to witness different species in their natural habitats:

  • Albert Track: Traverse along the shoreline of the Albert Nile, venturing into the acacia woodland to seek out the elusive leopards, extending its territory into Sudan.

  • Buligi Track: Previously renowned for its prominence, this track was well-known for sightings of Rothschild giraffes and prides of leopards thriving in the acacia woodland.

  • Victoria Track: Spanning 17 kilometers and linking Queen's and Buligi tracks, this route is a habitat for prides of lions and leopards, culminating at the Nile delta.

  • Queen's Track: Stretching over 8 miles, this track provides frequent sightings of majestic lions, connecting the Victoria and Albert tracks seamlessly.

  • Pakuba Track: Passing through the Pakuba Lodge ruins, this route is recognized for hosting hyenas and leopards amidst the scattered debris.

  • Te'bito Track: Situated near the falls and leading to its summit, offering scenic vistas and exceptional views.

  • Chobe Track: Extending approximately 67 kilometers, this trail intersects with Te'bito Track junction and Karuma Falls, passing through the scenic landscapes near Chobe Safari Lodge.

Morning game drives commence early to catch sight of wildlife before they retreat from the morning sun. In the afternoon, embark on a rewarding boat cruise to the top of Murchison Falls.

Day 5: Drive to Kibale National Park

Embark on a scenic and leisurely 6-hour drive along a meticulously maintained tarmac road, immersing yourself in the captivating journey that leads to the stunning landscapes of Kibale National Park.

Upon completion, proceed with the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated approximately 121 kilometers southwest of Kibale Forest. The journey spans approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes by road. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7: Wildlife Exploration and Boat Cruise

Explore the diverse wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its rich fauna and flora. Witness an array of remarkable creatures, including African Cape buffalo, elephants, hippos, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, chimps, spotted hyenas, lions, leopards, and numerous others. The journey encompasses approximately 5 hours of travel, leading you to the Ruhija sector within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge within this captivating natural sanctuary.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking Adventure in Bwindi

Today's activities revolve around the enthralling experience of gorilla tracking in either Mgahinga National Park, Rushaga - the southern sector of Bwindi Forest, or Buhoma - the northern sector of the park, subject to gorilla permit availability.

Should the tracking take place in Mgahinga National Park, guests may additionally engage in the enriching Batwa Community walk, a cultural encounter offering insights into the heritage of the Batwa people. Moreover, guests visiting Mgahinga have the option of partaking in golden monkey tracking.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Cruise and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
